Vietnam Homeland Heritage Tour B

Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival Hanoi

Upon arrival at Noi Bai airport you will receive a warm
welcome from our tour guide and be escorted to your hotel. Enjoy
the initial sights of Hanoi, which is a peaceful city
of lakes, shaded boulevards, verdant parks and grand French colonial architecture
while you adjust to the new time zone.
In the late afternoon, you will have
a cycling tour through Hanoi Old Quarter followed by a welcome dinner at
a famous local buffet, the Sen Restaurant.
Day 2: Hanoi full day city tour

Today, you will rise early and enjoy a morning
walk to Hoan Kiem Lake "Lake
of the Restored Sword" and experience early morning in Hanoi. According
to the legend, gods provided Emperor Le Thai To a
magical sword to defeat the Ming Dynasty Chinese invaders.
After the victory the emperor was boating
on the lake when a giant tortoise reared up and took
the sword, returning it to its rightful owners. Today,
the lake is where local residents do their morning exercise.
You can join them as they do Tai Chi.
In the afternoon you can enjoy a city tour of Hanoi in
which you will visit Ngoc Son and Quan Thanh Temples
as well as the old quarter of Hanoi and the Dong Xuan
market. This
evening you will be treated to a water puppet show, a
unique Vietnamese traditional art which dates back to
the 10th century. Water puppetry is a remarkable art
form combining traditional music, fireworks and elaborate
puppets floating gracefully on the water. The stories
depict Vietnamese legends, peasant life and local festivals.
Day 3: Hanoi - Halong

This morning, depart Hanoi for a trip to Halong
with a scenic drive through the Red River delta. Upon arrival you will be
escorted to the Indochina Sails Junk. (This 15 cabin junk has been
furnished in a traditional way, getting the best out of natural materials
like wood, bamboo & marble. “Trac” wood – a rare,
valuable and solid kind of wood is used to make the cover of the ship, all
the interior are made by “Huong wood – a perfumed wood”,
which gives not only the impressive color but also a special scent that
represents the high class and the unique character.). After getting settled
in your cabin you can enjoy lunch onboard. You will visit Cua Van
Fishing Village and Bat Cave via a sampan or kayak. You may also have
an excursion to Soi Sim Beach for swimming or relaxing. In the evening
you will enjoy dinner on board and arrive by boat at Luon Bo Area & anchor
for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Halong – Hanoi- Province

This morning offers an optional early morning meditation
and Yoga session on sundeck and an excursion which departs to Sung Sot cave.
Following an international breakfast buffet you will depart by boat to Bai
Chay beach and enjoy the sights there. After arrival at Halong city you
will be escorted to Noi Bai airport for a late afternoon flight to
your child’s province. You will be greeted warmly by a local guide
at the airport and be escorted to your hotel to settle in and relax.
Day 5: Province

Today, a Lotus guide will sensitively and carefully
assist your family with your arranged visit to the orphanage, foster care
family or birth family as you’ve requested. This day is customized
to your family’s wishes and specifications.
Day 6: Province
meals: N/A
This day is also arranged in a specialized way according to your preferences
to explore the birthplace of your child. We can recommend and arrange local
activities for you, based on local culture and choices
Day 7: Province – Nha Trang
meals: B/L/D
In the morning, you will have free to explore, pack
and relax. This afternoon, check out from the hotel for your flight
to Nha Trang. Upon arrival, meet your English-speaking tour guide
and driver and you will be escorted to your hotel.
Day 8 :Nha Trang
meals: B/L/D
Nha Trang is a famous coastal destination that
offers pristine beaches, offshore islets, Cham Towers, hot springs and abundant
water sport options. After
breakfast, enjoy and relax at a deluxe beach resort.
You will have full day to relax, explore and enjoy the
resort.
Day 9: Nha Trang
meals: B/L/D
Enjoy breakfast at hotel with a day of free time to relax on the private
beach and swimming pool at the deluxe beach resort. You can have spa services
like massage and steam bath or enjoy sightseeing or water sports like diving,
windsurfing, catamaran sailing and speed boating.
Day 10: Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City
meals: B/D
After breakfast, meet your guide and driver and transfer to the airport
for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
Upon arrival meet the guide and driver and check in to your hotel. You will be free until your guide and driver pick you up for the dinner excursion on the boat along Ho Chi Minh City River.

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Long - Can Tho

Today, drive to Vinh Long and we will get on a sampan
then visit a brick kiln and a floating market where you can enjoy bargaining
and local sights. You will also enjoy a visit to the famous Mr. Sau
Giao's bonsai garden where you will be treated to lunch. Next you
can enjoy a short bike ride sightseeing tour of Vinh Long including a visit
to Ngoc Vien Pagoda, local people's homes, and the Vinh Long church with
local history. Later you will be driven to Can Tho, a city known for its
warmth and hospitality. Indeed there is a Vietnamese saying, “Can
Tho has white rice and clear water: Once there, your heart won't leave." Relax
this evening after you check in to the hotel.
Day 12: Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh City
meals: B/L
After breakfast, you will be escorted for a boat
trip on Mekong River where you will visit the Cai Rang floating market.
Then in the afternoon, drive back to Ho Chi Minh City via the scenic Sadec
area and visit Rose Garden of Mr. Tu Ton, which is locally well known for
its beauty.
Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City
meals: B
Enjoy breakfast at hotel and have day free time to relax at the swimming
pool or shop at Dong Khoi Avenue as you prepare to create and capture last
memories before departing for home.
Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City – U.S. City
meals: B
After breakfast, please meet your guide and driver
and transfer to Tan San Nhat International Airport for the departure flight
back home. The guide will help you to check in at the airport for your trip
across the International dateline. You can catch up on your journal
writing, recounting memories of your Vietnam explorations and excursions
before you arrive back in the US.
